Step 9: Your To-Do List
Your To-Do List is built directly from your Short-Term Vision. It contains the daily and weekly actions required to keep your life moving forward smoothly and intentionally.
If, for example, one of your Short-Term Goals is to publish your first book, your To-Do List might include actions such as:
Contacting literary agents
Finding and hiring an editor
Printing manuscripts for proofreading
Every item on your To-Do List should clearly support one of your Short-Term Goals.
The Power of Commitment
The effectiveness of your To-Do List lies in one simple principle:
if you write it down, you commit to doing it.
This level of commitment transforms intention into reality. When actions are written, they move from possibility into obligation—and obligation creates results.
There is also a powerful sense of momentum and accomplishment that comes from crossing items off your list. As soon as approximately 75% of your list is complete, begin a new list. This keeps your focus fresh, your energy moving forward, and creates space for new projects and opportunities.
Breaking Goals into Action
To reach your Short-Term Goals, write down everything that needs to be done to accomplish them. If a task feels too large or overwhelming, break it down into smaller, clearly actionable steps. Every large achievement is simply a series of small, completed actions.
Continue using the same life categories and the same priority order you established for your Long-Term, Mid-Term, and Short-Term Goals. This consistency ensures that every action you take remains aligned with the larger vision you are consciously creating.
