Step 8: Short-Term Goals (90–180 Days)

Purpose: Action, momentum, and immediate progress

For each Mid-Term Goal, define one Short-Term Goal to be achieved within the next 90–180 days.

For each Short-Term Goal, clearly define:

  • Outcome – What specifically will be accomplished

  • Measurement – How you will know the goal has been achieved

  • Emotional ReasonWhy this matters now

Creating Your Short-Term Vision

Your Short-Term Vision is where intention turns into action. These are the goals that must be accomplished to support your Mid-Term Vision—and ultimately bring your Long-Term Vision into reality.

As with the previous steps, you will define Short-Term Goals within each life category, following the same priority order you have already established. These goals are more detailed, more specific, and closer to daily action than any you have written before.

This is the level at which real momentum is created. Short-Term Goals translate your vision into tangible movement and measurable progress. They are meant to be worked with, refined, and adjusted as you grow. Flexibility is part of the process.

Goal Design Guidelines (SMART Goals)

Your Short-Term Goals should be SMART:

  • Specific – Clearly defined and focused

  • Measurable – You can tell when the goal is complete

  • Achievable – Stretching, yet realistic

  • Relevant – Directly aligned with your Mid- and Long-Term Vision

  • Time-Bound – Designed to be completed within 90–180 days

Continue using the same life categories and the same priority order established in your Long-Term and Mid-Term planning. This consistency ensures that every short-term action is aligned with the larger life you are consciously creating.
